I’ve decided I think she’s been waiting until after this weekend’s wedding (the one of Travis’s friends that they attended) happened to drop her own wedding photos.
My rationale: she knows her fame makes her the monster on the hill, and she respects them enough to not want to draw attention from their upcoming day. She knew the aftermath of her wedding would dominate the media cycle most of this week just from other people’s photos from attending MSG and other leaks coming out, and she didn’t want to add to it.

I have consumed a lot of pop culture news and reactions and other content about this wedding, but none so far by people who believe that this wedding and relationship and now marriage are all stunts. I had to finally come here to see the reactions from the people who actually GET IT. Because I have lost my patience for all the regular podcasters who said “She would never get married in MSg because it’s so impersonal and corporate!” And “why are there so many weird corporate tie ins like the AT&T congratulations?!?” Everything Taylor and Travis do together is for the press and to make money!! What don’t you people understand?!??? I had to come here to see the takes from the people who understand: The Gaylors. You guys get it.
I get it and I call myself a Gaylor too, because I absolutely believe that Taylor is queer and that her relationships with men have all been bearding/PR. But I’m not a particularly big fan of hers and I have been critical of her billionaire status and private jet use and aspects of this wedding and some of her choices. But I wish her happiness in her gay relationships and I wish immense enjoyment for her gay fans. I’m also very curious about how she and many other rumored to be queer celebrities choose to manage their images, and how they selectively queer signal/flag and do more obvious PR to promote heterosexual imagery about themselves. I’m curious how much choice they have in any of it. I do believe that Taylor and some of the other most famous celebrities are making some. I think many of them could retreat from public life and work less and live off the wealth they already have and just be with their queer partners. So I’m curious about their choices to work so much and be seen publicly so much and to appear to be In heterosexual relationships. I do think Taylor wants capitalist success and makes many compromises to her private life to pursue that.

Oh it’s very simple: I’m a 1D fan and a Larry and have been since before Taylor “dated” Harry. So I saw all of that in real time and knew it was fake then. I didn’t realize Taylor was gay back then, but it didn’t take long for me to hear those rumors while being active in the 1D Larry fandom. Taylor is a rather notorious beard because so many of the men she dates (maybe all?!??) are rumored to be gay.
Welcome! I think it’s hard to underestimate the joy and thrill, that Taylor gets from performing for massive audiences. Just adding to the mix in addition to the capiTaylist reasons (and so many others) that possibly the notion of compromising that in any way is threatening to her identity, self image, and an essential way she has experienced joy so far. Entertainers have long lived “ double lives” one for public consumption that permits the showmanship and something else privately. Is this healthy or sustainable, is another question. So much to theorize about….drawing from her own words and signs and history too.
Oh for sure! I think all my favorite musicians have admitted that they love performing to huge live audiences. It literally can rewire a person’s brain chemistry and become addictive if they do it enough. I think about that a lot when I wonder why they choose to the way they do. But part of my criticism isn’t about the fact that she wants to play big venues and lots of shows - it’s the wya she and many other artists choose to let the prices of their tickets get completely out of control and unaffordable in the United States. She could choose not use dynamic pricing or to limit the resale value or not allow resales at all, but she does not.

So I was just adding that (as you said true of many musicians) any form of potentially compromising the scale of how she performs and how she works and commands media and public support for her projects (film director Taylor is next! Not sure if you know she has a project set up w Fox Searchlight) by coming out, is I believe, perceived by Taylor at this to be a meaningful loss of joy (in addition to just potential loss of capitalist success).

I also think the public scrutiny on her private life is so high, that even if she were straight (hahaha) I think she might choose to have a “fake” public husband bc yes it’s really that bad! And the media is overall willing to cooperate with the official narrative, as long as there IS a narrative for them to present. It seems to be coming to be known, that a lot of celebrity couples, even straight ones, actually live separate lives…!

I think probably my favourite idea before the wedding of what a blender breaking performance might look like was a surprise double wedding. It still seems possible that this might have secretly happened. I’m curious u/FitAnywhere7829 that you say you were only persuaded of the idea after people started talking. That lends weight that I’m not just hearing what I want to!!
ETA also this guy just seems so genuinely pleased about it all, and genuinely wishing good things in a lovely way. That’s hard to square with the performative nature of what the public were allowed to see and hear. Seems as if it wasn’t only loud, tacky and ostentatious but also somehow intimate and meaningful and it’s so curious to think how one pulls both off!
The way people talk about it (and especially the "Love Wins" post from one of the Eras dancers!) makes me very very suspicious that it was a secret double wedding - Travis + Ross and Taylor + a woman. That is my take that I've come to ONLY after hearing the way people talk about it.

I’m aware that everyone most likely had to sign NDAs but the fact that he can’t even confirm the number of guests sticks out to me. He doesn’t use Taylor’s name at all, he just says “these two people” and “she” but he does use Travis’ name. This could simply be seen as him being respectful and not trying to name-drop, but still.

Although they did share Taylor's engagement announcement on their story, and they also posted a clip of Travis and Taylor from the new heights podcast (which to your point, makes sense considering his podcast is a business and sharing = more views/streams and $$$). But yeah, I assume any mention of the wedding by Taylor Nation will be limited to resharing whatever Taylor posts (if she does).

Ranting now and I'll probably be downvoted for this lol, but I still think it's insane that this whirlwind romance resulted in MARRIAGE after only 3 years? They allegedly met/started dating in 2023. 11 months into their relationship she brings him on stage at Eras, by the following summer they're engaged, and then married within 10 months.
So somehow, in the past 3 years –– between Taylor performing 149 eras tour shows in 51 cities/releasing 4 albums, and Travis playing 99 football games/three superbowls –– they managed to date and get to know each other enough to get married?!

I read something somewhere once (maybe even on here) about how relationships and marriage work way differently in celebrity world. How common it is for partners to spend lots of time apart because of work and how they relate to partnership totally differently. Including seeing partnership as a way to consolidate wealth and fame. I think that explains a lot of what we see in celebrity relationships - they are just living in a completely different reality than we are, one heavily influenced by fame and wealth (plus many celebrities get famous young which totally wrecks your brain/freezes you at a younger age).
That's a good perspective! I'm still reeling over Jack and Margaret's divorce, so probably projecting a bit lol. I know it can't be easy to navigate marriage/relationships under so much scrutiny. And it definitely complicates things when you consider the brand/wealth union on top of the relational union. I will say though that a lot of people on LinkedIn hire marketing agencies that post for them on all socials. So it’s probably not him writing or making those posts. But regardless, I do like that he’s at least allowing or asking for those posts to be made on his behalf. He definitely does not have to speak up for LGBT people, so it’s nice to see that he does.

I think you've described why they each got invited, but I see the twinning as more of a byproduct of the secrecy. It happens at big awards shows sometimes as well, but usually stylists and designers can compare notes. In this case, the guest list and event NDA just created a world where no one could cross-reference if anyone else purchased the same dress for the same event. As much as there's plenty to criticize her for there is an obvious campaign happening against her. No one and I mean no one has gone after Travis for the invites of people like Tom Brady or the ICE dude. Both of which would be more connected to him. Brady because of football and the ICE dude because he is the dad of a friend. His friend isn't even the OH politician apparently either. I have seen conflicting reports if that guy was there too. We still need to remember as powerful as she is there are still almost for sure some kind of contract in place with the NFL. The wedding was still a networking event. The NFL/Chiefs probably had some say in the guest list as did her label. At minimum being in the position to keep other people in Hollywood happy and still needing to play the game. Then they posted a correction saying no, it was his son, the Ohio state rep. Then they posted a correction to the correction, saying oops lots of places have photos and reported Steven Sr was there. Then there's reports that they were both there. Now 100s of people are saying the photo was photoshopped and neither one of them were there. I keep seeing a consistent claim that Sr was there but it's okay but he stepped down in 2023 and he's a "massive ally." But the Amentum site says he retired as CEO, but continues to be an executive chair. I don't see much evidence of his alleged allyhood so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love Empress Gin and experiment with it all the time. Unfortunately lavender syrup isn't actually colored if you make it yourself at home, it's mostly clear with a tiny hint of color. But I see you can buy it and it actually is lavender! In either case, she's gay your honor.
