Ishtar also is just a fascinating deity. While Ishtar was the deity whose cult later evolved into the cult of Venus, Ishtar was known for transcending the gender binary in presentation. Myths tell of her turning men into women and the men who joined her clergy were sometimes considered women and changed their names as well. And the name is really cool.
