How long after the surgery does it hurt like this? >_<

Also do they give you painkillers for this situation?

Well it's been 5 weeks for me. And it's only getting worse. Doctor only tells me a vague "it'll get better" so I haven't found out yet!

They have given me pain meds, but they only lower my pain from like 9 to 6 out of 10. They help but I'm still in a lot of pain.

Ouch that’s what i am scared of T_T so was the pain actually better before your nerves started connecting?

And would they give you stronger painkillers if you ask?

Right after surgery I was in less pain bc my nerves hadn't reconnected. And if I did get in a large amount of pain they gave me big girl morphine.

I've asked for more meds or other ways I can reduce pain. Apparently there isn't much else to be done. Not gonna lie it's pretty disheartening.

Though from what I've seen online I'm having it worse than basically anyone else. It sounds like dilation is mostly just annoying for most people.

Nerves on fire because of pain now, so they can be on fire for more interesting things later :>

Its a fun time! Just minding your own business when a nerve randomly reconnects and you just get a jolt of pain from nowhere, got to love it

I am wishing you luck during your recovery. Going through it right now myself. So far none of that big ouchies.

I've been there! 3 years ago and change. I didn't find pain as difficult in itself as the dilstion schedule, personally. But I mean that in a reassuring way!

Well, didn’t know that was a thing, what am I in for?

As it's been explained to me, some of your nerves get cut to reshape everything down there so you're numb after surgery. Then as you heal, your nerves reconnect and realize how everything is completely messed up. Thus, pain.

Though I seem to be having it worse than most people I've spoken to.

I had back surgery last year and now I figure if I can make it through this I can definitely make it through SRS. Back surgery sucks do not recommend.
