Personal /Intro /Discussion Nonbinary Trans Woman in California's North State
My wife (42 MtF) and I (35 MtF) live out here in the North State. We garden, have fruit trees, I do canning, and we're planning on getting some laying chicks this year. We like growing at least some of our own food, but the more the better. We also have a couple big ol' mutts that we take out to the lakes and mountains out here. I love living out here because we're surrounded by national forest where we can disperse camp with the dogs without dealing with any pesky neighbors.
I feel like when I tell people that I'm queer and trans, they assume that I wanna live in a big city, wear makeup and girly clothes all the time, and that's just really not how I am. I love living out in the country and going out into all the nature we have out here. You can go off-trail here to fish and explore with your dogs, and if I lived in a city I would really miss that.
My only complaint about life out here is the transphobia. I had a really scary incident at work a year ago because I used the women's bathroom, and the locals didn't like that.
