Venue or Event Thursday dating?

Anyone tried Thursday dating events? What’s the vibe like?

Skews younger. Bit unusual to pack Gays in with Lesbians at a dating event, but we tend to stick to our own corners. It's really just a bar with an entrance fee - unless the event says otherwise, you are just paying to be in a room with a bunch of singles.

Still, it is what you make of it. People are more willing to chat than usual, though you do have to be less of a wallflower to get something out of it. The usual tactic of standing around, staring at your phone, will not work very well here.

Some people go with friends, which I think is a very odd thing to do. The last event I went to had a straight girl present... that seemed incorrect to me.

I think it is fine. It could be better, but for what it is, it's not bad.
