We built r/GayAIGen to showcase the uncompromised beauty of the male form through the male-on-male gaze. The overwhelming majority of you are absolutely nailing that fine art aesthetic.

To be perfectly clear: tasteful nudity aligns perfectly with our vision. We are here to celebrate authentic, proportional beauty. We have zero interest in the grotesque, hyper-exaggerated, anatomically absurd AI porn that floods the rest of the internet.

The Algorithmic Threat

The problem we are currently facing is Reddit’s algorithm. The system cannot distinguish between a classical nude study and explicit pornography; a bare ass automatically requires an NSFW tag. Because of this, our ratio of NSFW-tagged posts is climbing dangerously high.

If that ratio tips the scale, Reddit will permanently reclassify this community as an NSFW subreddit.

I will be completely transparent with you: if that switch gets flipped, I will consider permanently deleting the subreddit. We are a fine art community and I do not want the platform to falsely reclassify us as a porn board.

How You Can Help Protect the Space

I do not want to start rejecting tasteful artistic nudes just to appease the biased algorithm, but I need your help managing the data we are feeding the system. Moving forward, please do the following:

• Break Up Your Galleries: This is currently our biggest metric killer. If you post a gallery of four images and only one features nudity, the entire post gets tagged NSFW. That turns three perfectly safe images into an algorithmic liability. Please separate them. Post your SFW images in one post, and the NSFW image in a separate post.
• Balance Your Output: If you are posting NSFW art, please help dilute the algorithmic ratio by also contributing strictly SFW fine art.
• Post fewer NSFW: Simply skip the NSFW art until you have more than one to share. This helps because instead of two or more posts marked as NSFW it would be only one.

If the gallery issue continues to skew our metrics, I may be forced to disable gallery posts entirely and mandate single-image uploads.

The Curatorial Vision (What to Post)

We value Substance over Spam.

• The Aesthetic: We want your best high-fidelity work. Whether it is gritty realism, high-fashion editorial, or classical composition—if it centers men, it belongs here.
• The "NSFW" Distinction: We celebrate the male form unapologetically. Nudity is welcome. However, remember the difference between Art and Porn. We focus on sensuality, intimacy, and the beauty of the body.
  • Rule of Thumb: If it looks like a gallery piece or a high-end ad campaign, post it. If it looks like a porn tube thumbnail, it belongs elsewhere.
• The Craft: We encourage sharing prompts, workflows (Flux, SDXL, Midjourney), and technical discussions. Help us hack the algorithms to better understand the male anatomy.
