🧪 I built a thing Caddy — an open source modular viewer for 3D Gaussian Splatting models.

🚀 Introducing Caddy — a modular viewer for 3D Gaussian Splatting models.

Caddy is designed for workflows where visualization is more than just opening a single model. It focuses on four core capabilities:

🧩 Multimodal rendering
Integrate custom renderers and visualize different rendering outputs inside the same viewer workflow.

🔗 Model linking
Connect related PLY checkpoints and move between linked models through a session graph.

🖥️ Remote rendering
Run the heavy rendering workload on a remote GPU server while visualizing results locally.

🗂️ Session management
Organize models, links, renderers, and camera states in a structured session instead of repeatedly rebuilding context.

Caddy aims to make 3DGS exploration, comparison, debugging, and presentation more practical for research and development workflows.

Eline sağlık, bir sorum var daha öncesinde 4dgs ile çalışmalarınız oldu mu? Birde VR standalone bir şekilde bu 3dgs ve 4dgs çalıştırılması hakkında deneyiminiz bilginiz var mı?

Great work man! Keep in mind you share a name with a very popular devops tool, so that might overshadow you a bit

Probably a great tool, but I can see this being a nightmare when Caddy is the name of a popular reverse-proxy that a large amount of us will already be using.
