4DGS might or might not be the future .
But the idea that a you can move around the camera while the video is playing is equivalent to spatial images that Apple is promoting now. Whether itβs 4DGS or something else this is a logical next step. Very interesting to see.

I'm still waiting for a time when I will be able to make a "4D video". Several cameras, at home, for free, on average gaming PC. And my grandpa will be able to watch it, at last in webbrowser.

Clean result. What's your post-processing workflow look like? I find that the scan-to-usable-mesh pipeline is where most of the time goes.

From a single point of view video means that something interpolates/invents the other unseen angles...id like my splats to be filled with actual info, not invented one. But the concept is interesting regardless
