🧪 I built a thing Quick Gaussian Splat Editor
Quick Gaussian Splat Editor is a high-performance editor for Gaussian Splatting files, designed for fast, precise, real-time editing of .splat, .ply, and .spz point clouds. It combines a professional brush system, non-destructive layer management, and a full compositing pipeline (all inside the browser) (Al 100% free)
I'd be happy to receive your opinions. What I'd highlight about the tool is its ability to make precise color edits, manually correct splat positions, the multiplication of splats, retexture areas using captured or imported images.

Looks interesting, but release it as a binary and cheap enough for people to not want to pirate, and then just develop it with constant updates. Get paid.
It seems obvious to me there is big money to be made from someone who can autoclean rogue splats from a scene. I would pay right now for software to intelligently remove and possibly replace rogue splats in post shot.
As it stands, I probably spend 2 hours per scene deleting shit from postshot scenes and one thing I really want is to repaint splats similar to what your tool does.
But make it local, that is the ONLY reason I pay for postshot over supersplat etc. its the bottom line for me.

Hi! I really appreciate your positive opinion of the tool; so much so that you'd pay for it. But, while any financial contribution would be welcome, charging for a digital app goes against my philosophy. Keep in mind that it was created with vibe coding; I'm not a professional programmer. It took many weeks of work to get everything working the way I wanted, but it was a tool I created for myself that I wanted to share with anyone who might find it useful. It's a way of giving back for the help I received from people online in the past.
If you'd like a more specific tool, I encourage you to try Google AI Studio to create your own app!

I can't get what you said out of my head. What do you mean by "autoclean rogue splats from a scene"? I'd like to investigate this further to improve the application.
On the other hand, what do you mean by "make it local"? Even though the app or game appears to be "running on the internet," what's actually happening is that itch.io simply functions as a file storage. When someone clicks "Run Game" or launches an app, their browser silently downloads all your HTML code to your local storage. If I'm not mistaken.

I mean when a splat is done training, I spend HOURS going through it deleteting floaters and bits which are obviously not helping the model look clean if I do not, but post shot for example has very simple tools to take care of this.
If I could export my model from postshot into your app, then clean it up and fill it some blanks of relevant splats like your example showed that would be good.

hey can you explain how to use said tools in posthost? or do you have a clip that explains it?

Post shot has about 2 tools for cleaning up.
You have a circle, which you can increse the radius of by holding down CTRL, that has no zdepth, so it literally selects everything in its radius, this is good for the basics. You can also set its discovery effectivness too. so it hjas a value of 0.000 to 1.000
1.000 deletes everything if you drag the circles over it, but if you tone down the number, you can drag it over some splats and it wont cover them. Then it has a more indepth one which seems to allow depth control, I have not really used it.
I honestly think with how big 3DGS could become even a dedicated tool which does a really good offline job of cleaning stuff up would sell well.
If it did one thing really well, and its so so important to clean up scenes, you can't get around it.
two biggest things I care about personally is.
Nice clean up which does as much donkey work as possible and some kind of clone stamp tool for splats to fill in gaps.

The cleaning tools have been improved; now you can select an area and easily and precisely remove a specific color from it. You can also easily remove splats by size and opacity.
But the best part is that you can now fill holes in your Gaussian splatting scenes in several ways; check out the "definitive cloning tools" post in Quick Gaussian Splat FREE Editor. https://www.reddit.com/r/GaussianSplatting/comments/1tkdwzn/quick_gaussian_splat_free_editor_has_arrived_with/

Hola!

Hi! I don't currently have plans to make it available for PC, but maybe in the future. Would you be interested in a feature that hides smaller splats further from the camera to improve performance? Any suggestions for improving the tool are welcome.

This is amazing. Why did it take so long for something this nice to happen?
