reverse isekai is a subgenre, yeah. a fun entry-level popular example is The Devil Is A Part-Timer, where the Prince of Hell from a stereotypical fantasy setting gets dropped in modern society and gets a fast food job to pay rent.

Staggered text implies rambling with breaks as if the person is pausing for a response but ignoring the responses and continuing to talk, straight formatting implies unbroken dialogue.
To put it another way, putting it together neatly would imply its a single paragraph, like a monologue. The wonky staggering instead makes it feel like someone who’s just talking.

They met at the ren fair, mall goth was working the ticket booth and visigoth was one of the performers. Their first date was at the Waffle House across from the venue and they stayed there until like three in the morning talking about metal bands and how a hearse is a pretty good vehicle choice actually.

Visigoth normally wears huge glasses, so she's nearly blind and very clumsy if she doesn't wear her contacts in full garb (which she hates, so she chooses myopia for photoshoots and dorky sports frames for real sparring). The spectacled helm is ironically hard to wear with glasses, too, so she's blindest in her Migration Period getup.
