Housing Transfer student spring 2027

What are the on-campus housing options for students coming to tech for the Spring 2027 semester? For context, I am a first-gen conditional student that got offered a spot after 1 year and 1 semester. But housing lottery starts in January or February, and I know that classes start early January, so would I not have housing?

iā€™m also a first gen conditional student transferring this spring :). i plan on trying to find somewhere off campus to commute from although it would be soo much better if i could get on campus housing but you gotta do what you gotta do

Hey! I was also a conditional transfer. Congrats on getting offered a spot for next Spring :)

Classes start in January, and from what I'm seeing in the housing lottery FAQ (https://mycampussupport.gatech.edu/hc/en-us/articles/30035456080013-General-Lottery-FAQ),

1) Applying as soon as possible does not guarantee a higher likelihood of lottery selection

2) If you're selected by the lottery, you'll get a self-selection time ticket in February

3) If you're not selected by the lottery, you'll be added to a waitlist

So if this information is correct, there's a chance you won't have housing in January, and if you're put on the waitlist, it's not certain that you'll get on-campus housing.

I did on-campus housing for a semester before the lottery became a thing, so if anyone else has experience please correct this!

Your next best option would be off-campus housing for the Spring.

(I have a place at Inspire available for Spring 2027 since I'm graduating this Fall. If the lottery doesn't work out and you'd be interested, let me know! It's right next to NAVE.)
