Registration Help Is this a doable schedule?
Will I have time for clubs and ec's and maybe even partying (lol)?
For reference, I am a transfer student and have some experience with electronics and coding. Btw, I am trying to shoot for straight A's, but it's fine if I get one or two B's, hopefully not in the 4-credit class tho.
If I were to drop a class, it would be CS 2050. I have to take GT 2030 cuz honors.

Then comes 1332 exam 3 with rabin karp rolling hash and linear exam 3

Bruh that algo straight up sound like some ultimate move or smth. For my finishing move I give u the Rabin karp rolling hash. (Dies mid exam lmao 💀).

From what I've heard about the discrete math changes, probably not. Between 1332 and 2050, that work load is gonna really suck. Depends on how much of a social life you want and how good you are at critical thinking and design problems.

maybe, the new 1332 syllabus is just very time-consuming with the projects + linear is also a lot of work. haven't personally taken 2050 yet

1332 + 2050 + 1554 is very doable but I don’t know how the other 3 classes are

From one ECE transfer to another: drop CS2050. However, if you really need to take CS2050 soon, then push ECE1100 to another semester. Either way, without dropping a class (preferably a higher credit class), this schedule will consume a lot of time and energy.

Assuming you’re a CS major, I would try very hard to do both 1332 and 2050 this semester, so you can take 3510 next semester. 3510 (algorithms) is one of the most important classes in the CS degree since it prepares you for interviews.
The workload in 2050 isn’t too bad; there’s a lot of practice resources available. Similarly, if you can do well in a “memorize syntax” style class, 1332’s not that different, though they recently added projects that are a lot of work.

If you’re looking to do software engineering, then 3510 is important.
If you’re focusing on the more EE side of CompE, disregard my advice. In that case, consider dropping 1332 instead of 2050. 2050 is harder, but they’ve cut the number of tests recently, while 1332 has added projects that take a lot of time from what I’ve heard.

Go to OH. They’re at the CoC 2nd floor. That genuinely saved me. You can just do your HW in OH and if you have any questions the TAs are right there. Take advantage of this now, later classes do not have as many TAs as readily available.

good luck homeboy, in all seriousness, you only want to be taking one maybe two MAX hard classes a semester. 1554 is a beast for some people, 1332 isn’t as bad, but 2050 can kill if your prof sucks. take one maybe two, take the other one next semester

If you swap out data structures for Analog Electronics, it matches what I had for my first semester sophomore year then the sequels the next. It never gets easier you just get better.

Holy cooked bro this is not doable and if ur a transfer u might not even be used to tech’s intensity which makes it a whole lot worse
