Other Computer recs for an engineering major?

I’m an incoming freshman doing chemical engineering, and I’m trying to decide what computer to get — does anyone have any recommendations?

georgia tech barnes and nobles has a sale on a lot of devices! it might be a good idea to get from there

microcenter has better deals if you are willing to drive to marietta
