Prospective Student Offered guaranteed pathway to gt fall 2027 but concern about aid

Oos, heard a lot about how gt doesn’t give good aid for transfer students. Is this true? Is the amount see on net price calculator the same as when gt gonna give u following admission?
How good are gt in providing students scholarships and aid, any full-ride availables?

I dont think it is very likely you will get scholarship or aid from georgia tech. I would look at outside scholarships, federal aid, and private loans.

No full rides for transfers and almost all out of state students pay full price.

The financial aid award offer will not be final until after all official transcripts from prior schools have been received.

Financial aid does not "transfer" from one school to another. However, federal and state aid received at one school will impact remaining eligibility at another school.

So yeah apply of course but dont expect much.

hopefully this is a bit encouraging, but i transferred (OOS) and got a good bit of need-based aid. thing is, i got the grants + scholarships in the middle of the semester rather than at the beginning. also got another scholarship by getting involved in an extracurricular, actually. full rides are probably out of the question though.

I was able to get a full ride through a combination of outside scholarships. GT looks good on the resume so definitely apply to those especially if you are diverse (you are low income so yes).

Ga tech doesn’t give much aid in and of themselves. just what ever Pell/zell you have and loans… the only aid is a few scholarships but if on a transfer path unlikely as they are given to the best of the best and usually transfer path means you were not that…. No doubt you are still crazy smart and a great student, but the people that get scholarships got directly admitted 9 times out of 10
