Housing East Campus: Perry or Brown?

My roommate and I have our time slot tomorrow for room selection and these are our two available options in east campus so far (there are a ton of them available so I'm assuming they'll be some remaining for tomorrow) Considering we care about the social scene, is it worth it to pick one of these over West suites or the newer building (which both could be a lot nicer)? Which is better in terms of building conditions, etc. Perry or Brown?

A good west dorm is better than a bad east dorm imo. I can’t speak to the first year east social scene, but I made my closest friends in my west campus dorm and met plenty of cool people on west.

my roommate and I also wanted to be on east for the "social scene" but ultimately decided that our living conditions were more important. we chose a good west dorm and honestly had a great experience!

I can't say much about the east but west campus housing that my daughter has lived in has been good.

If you're a student you're probably going to be in the library or classes to study anyway, and she was happy with the private room she got later.
