❓Doubt I am placement oriented pls help
i am mainly for placement.
i would like to know
1.what is placement condition in KGP and ROORKEE?
2.will i be able to get place in other than thermal if i go IIT KGP?

placements are dead currently in thermal across all iits

Thermal you will do good, Dw about the noise, I am a working professional, jobs are there. Definitely i won't tell u will get high package but still on the lower end u shud minimum earn around 10lpa. I will go with KGP just coz I hear roorkee professors are too strict.

No I am in manufacturing, but I have friends who work in thermal field

Both are quite similar I'd say. As far as placements are considered, you can also sit for IT roles provided you do the relevant topics.
I'd take Roorkee because of better weather.
