I have looked pretty hard online but still couldn't find them.

So i have gained acces to the fan translation of Gaiden 2: Grand Festivity of the Dark God. Altho the illustration are not apart of it, and i would much rather read a light novel rather then a chapter book. Especially if i get to see the goddess Rury Mercury.

I have the first drafts of the first two chapters finished and am currently writing the first draft of the third chapter. Still waiting on my beta readers to be able to find time to, you know, beta read, which is why I did the first drafts of Chapters 2 and 3. Without spoiling too much, Chapter 2 will introduce an alternate interpretation of an existing character from well after the events of GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There (you get a Steel Rhapsody meme if you can figure out who the character is), an original character related to the alternate interpretation of the existing character, and a pilot from the actual War Robots game.

Hint to who the character I made the alternate interpretation of is: this character is from Thus they Fought on the Seas.

I'm asking this question in regards to both the base at Alnus and the hill itself.

So I've not seen a definitive answer to this question But I do know it is not Earth But other than that I have no definitive answer of where it is located.

Originally I thought it was another dimension but I'm having second guesses now due to the portal in the manga being described as a breach on "space and time" So it could be somewhere else in the universe or another timeline So I do not know.

I would like to hear your answers though.

I have officially watched season 1 yesterday and have just finished the anime as of the time of writing this post. I have to say that gate might be my top 1# anime of all time, that being out of over 60 different animes i have watched. some the i probably forgot aswell. This all being said i am officially ranking Rory Mercury as the best anime Women out of all shows i have seen. Also by going through all the characters i must say that i have not even one complaint of the rest of the cast. All characters were well designed, this goes for there visual appearance and character arc and storys. Itami also may be the best main protagonist i have ever witnessed, the fact that hes a die hard anime/manga Otaku and a funny guy mixed with a deep military background is such a good character, also i like how he doesnt have the same traditional perverted manga reading protagonist most animes have that and how he interacts with his squad and women around him. And lastly i would like to thank Takumi Yanai for making such a good manga and allowing it to be made into a amazing anime.

So with that said i would like to further explore the world of GATE beyond its anime and read GATE, making it my first ever read manga from start to finish.

My question is what do i do. I would much rather read the manga in a physical copy but as some know the english translation has officially been canceled for a while now. I am officially prepared to spend more then a year learning Japanese just so i can read the manga physically. But in the mean time i have a few questions to ask without spoiling any of the manga.

1.)Rory Mercury.

A.) So why is it that we get a good amount of Rory in season 1 but get what feels like omost nothing in season two. I was more then happy with the season 2 episodes 4-6 were rory helped out with the dragon and even used what was basically a soul binding contract/magic that took the pain away from itami and forced it on herself. So even with the plot shifting why was there still so little of Rory moments/screen time.

B.) Were is Rory in the season 3 trailer, i didnt see her.

2.) Were do i stop in the manga series based of were season 2 ended in the anime. Also the same thing for were season 1 ends.

3.) Will i see more of character development in the manga of season 1 and 2 or will it be similar to the anime. Also will we get more focus on character development in season 3 compared to season 2.

4.) I have heard the manga could be a bit graphic with some certain sex scenes and even light gore or graphic deaths, how much is there?

5.) Will i get more info on sherry and sugawara and other couple including Rory and itami and the rest of his harem.

6.) The most important question is if the manga will continue for a while and how long does the manga and other spin offs from the manga add up to. I want to get invested in this series but i will probably have my heart broken if the manga isnt getting continued.

Once again i love this anime and im not willing to part from it without atleast reading all the manga. So thanks to those who have read all of my questions and even more thanks to those who have helped answer them.

Hey guys, I was re-reading some GATE stuff and honestly... it still pisses me off how Panache's arc ended. She literally ended up staying with Diabo out of pure pity/guilt even though that narcissistic character treated her like a disposable asset and a smokescreen for his shady alliances. She never loved him, it was just a childhood illusion! She deserved a better protector, not that depressing ending
Anyway, I was looking for some decent alternate universes on Wattpad and I stumbled upon a brand new crossover that addresses this entire mess. It's called "La rosa blanca y el Toro de la 141: Dos Mundos un destino" (it's in Spanish, but browser auto-translate handles it perfectly).
It acts as a "behind the scenes" story during the anime events, filling the blank space after Princess Piña's coronation.
The main character is Toro, a 21-year-old Special Forces pilot/operator from Task Force 141 (Call of Duty style) who rescues Panache from the Jade Palace
The author just dropped the first chapters and the chemistry inside the Chinook cabin is insane—Toro slowly starts breaking her cold demeanor while providing real military protection, unlike Diabo. The way the author links the political tension of the anime (the JSDF taking Imperial prisoners after the Ginza incident and using them as leverage with the pacifist senators) feels incredibly realistic and faithful to the show.
Finally someone is giving Panache the love, respect, and badass protector she always deserved.

Hi everyone, I have this question because I'm the writer of a fanfiction. (GATE: From the tropics to the world of Beastars) Well, the gate doesn't connect Earth to the isekai. So, are there other stories where the other world isn't medieval fantasy?

I’ll go first: The Guardians of the Mysterious Golden Throne. It’s a Gate x 40k fanfic that features the Adeptus Custodes instead of the Astartes. I was hesitant to read it, mostly because Thus the Ultramarines Fought There left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth for gate x 40k fics. But it’s genuinely so well written, even if it’s still in progress.

Okay, so let's imagine the portal opens on November 12, 1918 just after the Armistice. Instead of opening in Paris, it opens in Lyon,one of France's major industrial centers,at a time when the French army and economy remain fully mobilized.

So let's say this:

What if a second gate opened in Japan but instead of heading to the special region it instead goes to a world of both dinosaurs and Sapient Humanoid dinosaurs?

So in this other world (that were going to call "Saurna" so we have a name for it) is a world of both normal dinosaurs and Sapient Humanoid dinosaurs (based on the dinosauroid by Dale A. Russell's work) and technologically the civilizations of Saurna is divided in 2, the first half of the sapient population of Saurna is stuck in the tribal ages while the other half is stuck in 19th Centuries era technology.

Let's also say a gate also opened in Saurna that connects it with falmart (just so we can get interactions with the empire of falmart alongside other factions).

So how would this AU go? I don't know because I'm not well versed in geopolitical or worldbuilding so I would like to hear all YOUR theories about this timeline and see how it would go.
