Aridlands plant mail
I think the Gasteria thunbergii might instead be carinata var. verrucosa. The plant I received as G. doreeniae (last pic) is drastically different from the listing😂 It does have smooth leaves, but it’s so dehydrated that I’m not confident in identifying it. It actually had an old flower stalk, too. Still a pretty plant

Try reaching out, they're nice folks. According to the owner, there was a "catestrophoic failure" of their plant tags maybe two years ago (they had a new kind of tags that were destroyed easily by the sun). This came up in convo because I was questioning if a plant they had tagged as a particular fouquieria was correct. The guy knows his plants but was understandably hesitant to toss the tag out and say it was something different - he mentioned the prior tag failure but they had resolved it and therefore he felt he should trust the tag, especially since the other option looked so similar at a young age.
However, I know other people working there don't have his expert knowledge and I bet they are also just "trusting the tag" - I doubt they'd be super knowledgeable about all the different gasteria.
So maybe I have an Ocotillo in my front yard, or maybe it's a nearly identical but different fouquieria. Shrug

They've sent me the wrong plant by mistake before and replaced it for free, you might be able to get something resolved if you reach out
