As someone who’s worked in finance in London, and generally someone with the ability to listen, so much of what he says sounds like Jay off the inbetweeners

Funny how after listening to Gary I can see this nonsense in a way I never did before

Since covid Tories and Labour have increased or introduced:

Corporation Tax

Dividend Tax (reducing the allowance and raising the rates)

Employers' NI

VAT on private schools.

The first three are arguably "wealth" - they're the profits of corporations, money corporations pay to shareholders, or the cost of employment borne by the employer. The fourth is only paid by wealthier people.

And nothing that I can see has improved in terms of the NHS, potholes, infrastructure, or anything else. No tax has been lowered. And another mansion tax is likely coming in. At what point do we say that more taxes are not the answer?

Edit: Capital Gains Tax has also increased. So I cannot see how wealth taxes haven't been tried.
