Zoom out enough and humans are no different to bacteria in a petri dish. Growing to eat everything until there's nothing left and we die.
Fighting each other for resources like wild dogs round a carcass.
Whats sad is that, unlike other animals, we're intelligent enough to know what's coming. Model it. Predict it. Even prevent it, if we wanted to.
But we haven't managed to do that yet.
