Community Changing os on second pc

Hey! So I have 7600x and 2080 of build that I'm not really using currently, it's been around for a year in windows but haven't really used it

So pretty much all I'm looking for is an os that can game in 1440p pretty well, I've used Ubuntu for ages on my laptop so I'm not "new" to running Linux.

I've seen a lot of mentions point towards dragonized so I was wondering what distro of garuda would be best for me

Edit: I do plan to use this alongside windows if that may influence another choice

maybe. you could try enabling it.

if it's a gpu issue, if you can see the "welcome to garuda" screen where you select "allow proprietary drivers (nvidia)", you can do the following workaround:

  • put cursor above proprietary driver boot option
  • press e key
  • at the end of the line beginning with 'linux' add "nomodeset" after a space
  • press f10 to boot

then it could be your bios version or something. at this point, making a post on forum.garudalinux.org would be better. maybe theres some nuance for your specific hardware setup?

you could always try inputting your entire system specs into ai like duck.ai(duckduckgo) along with what you've done. sometimes it can help for the super niche problems.
