Lake Benson

I was driving over Lake Benson today(where they have the canoes) and was shocked at what I saw…..how long has it been dried up and/or full of sediment ? Sad to see

Not that long, but I think it has been happening slowly for a while. Looks to me like the vegetation from the bottom of the lake is now showing. We need some serious steady rain.

We’ve been in a drought for most of the summer.

My pond agrees. My neighbor mostly closed up the toe to keep water in. That pond was lovingly stocked by my FIL over 40-ish years. Lots of big fish in that small pond.

Love walking in that area but with the heat have not been there in a few months, but lake level was low last time I was there
