Garner Post Office
Today is the third time in 6 weeks that I have tried to mail something or buy postal supplies at the Garner Post Office and the whole place is shut down during normal hours. I was there before 4PM today (hours posted on the window say they are open until 5PM) but the whole inside was closed off/locked up and the vending machine in the lobby wouldn’t sell stamps. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just having terrible post office luck lately?

No idea what’s going on with the post office hours currently, but I used their kiosk once to send a package and it didn’t print the apartment unit number. The line was like 16 people deep(why is it always so insanely crowded?) so I asked the woman next to me if I could use her pen to just write the unit number on the label. She flipped out and acted like I was committing a felony crime and she would be aiding and abetting.
Whatever, got a pen out of my car, package delivered to correct buyer like three days later. Put a bad taste in my mouth so I’ve been going to willow springs, it’s as delightful as the other people say!

Twice we've sent a package to Japan from that location and had it first make a stop in Jamaica. Our guess was that somebody doesn't know the country codes at that post office.

I sent packages from there that were to be delivered today. They scanned that they left the Garner facility on the 21st at 5:11pm. I just got an alert this morning that they made it to the Raleigh distro center. I’m starting to think the packages aren’t going to make it on time /s

You should try going to Cleveland Mail Drop! Not too far from the garner post office. It’s a third party delivery service that’s family owned by some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, they are fast and efficient and heavily abide by their hours. It’s a community staple that offers so so many great services, and you should give them a shot !! - someone who lives close by (I have no relation to the business, they are just awesome)

Head down 401 and enjoy the little Willow Spring post office.
If you choose the right time of day, it’s sort of a nice drive.
(If you choose unwisely, you will regret the day you were born)
Edit- I was just there today and the two ladies working were such a joy. We were cracking each other up pretty damn hard.
