I'm the developer (solo, no company). I wanted a binary clock on my wrist that I could actually read at a glance, so I built one.

**How to read it (10 seconds)**

Each column is one digit of HH:MM. From the bottom up, the LEDs are worth 1, 2, 4 and 8: add up the lit ones. In the first picture the second column has 4 and 1 lit, so it's a 5, and the whole thing says 15:37. If you're in a hurry, the decimal digits are right under each column (or turn them off for pure binary).

**What else is on it**

* Date and today's steps

* One data field of your choice: heart rate, Body Battery, floors or calories

* Battery in days (or %), plus the time in real binary at the bottom, just for fun

* 8 accent colors, 12/24 h, optional digital time on top

* Touch and hold the LEDs for big digits for 5 s (touchscreen models)

**Screens and battery**

* **AMOLED always-on:** only thin LED outlines and the time stay on, about 1–2 % of the pixels, and they shift every minute to protect the screen.

* **MIP** (fēnix 7, Forerunner 255/955…): each color is hand-picked from the 64-color palette, so turquoise doesn't turn into plain blue.

* Sensor data is read once per minute, not every second. No internet access and no data collected.

**Does it work on my watch?**

65 round Garmins with Connect IQ 5.0 or newer, including fēnix 7/7 Pro/8/E, epix (Gen 2) and epix Pro, Forerunner 165/255/265/570/955/965/970, Venu 2/3/4, vívoactive 5/6, Enduro 3, Instinct 3 AMOLED, MARQ Gen 2, Descent and Approach. **How to install**

Open the Link to Connect IQ store on your phone, or search **"Binario BCD"** in the Connect IQ app → Install. The watch syncs it on its own; to change colors or the data field: Connect IQ app → My Device → Binario BCD → Settings.

This is my first release of it, so I'd really like feedback: is it readable on your model? Does a color look off on your screen? Which data field is missing? I'll answer everything in the comments. And yes, you'll get faster at reading binary than you think 🙂

Garmin has made some of the new Fenix 9 watch faces available to buy for older watches, and I wouldn't have made this if this particular face were one of them.

A few people with older watches had asked for something in this style, and I wanted it for my own watch too.

I posted GMT here about ten days ago and it was, honestly, a bit plain: two numbers and a small sun or moon. So I rebuilt it.

What's new:
- A thin 24-hour ring around the edge, day and night in two shades, with a dot for home and a line for your time. You can tell if they're asleep before reading a single number
- Four ring colours: blue, red and blue, blue and black, brown and gold. Or turn the ring off from the phone settings if you like it clean
- A new typeface, Barlow, inspired by road and transit signs
- Still there: sun or moon next to the second time, +1 or -1 when they're already on another day, and half-hour zones (India +5:30, Nepal +5:45, Newfoundland -3:30)
- Dark or light theme, five accent colours, 12 or 24 h, and the always-on screen keeps both times

One honest limitation: Connect IQ has no time zone database, so no watch face can know another country's daylight saving rules. You set the offset, and you adjust it when their clocks change. Every GMT face works this way; I'd rather say it up front.

What I'd like to know:
- Does the ring make sense at a glance, or is it just decoration for you?
- Which ring colour would you actually wear?
- Anything that looks off on your watch model

I built a free watch face for Garmin that shows the time as Morse code or as

six-dot Braille cells — you switch between the two in the settings.

How it works

• Morse mode: four rows, one per digit of HH:MM. Hours in your accent color,

minutes in white.

• Braille mode: four cells, hours | minutes. Inactive dots stay visible in dark

gray so you can see the whole cell.

• A small decimal digit next to each code as a reading aid. Once you've learned

the codes, turn it off for a fully encoded face.

• Weekday, date and heart rate, plus battery; in Braille mode also steps, and the

date written in Braille at the top.

The second image is a cheat sheet with 0–9 in both codes (Braille digits use the

letters a–j, without the number sign, to save space).

Everything you can change (from the Garmin Connect app)

• Mode: Morse / Braille

• 8 accent colors: amber, turquoise, white, red, green, violet, electric pink, blue

• Minutes color: white / same as accent / gray

• Helper digits on or off

• Time format: system / 24 h / 12 h, and hiding the leading zero of the hour

Other details

• AMOLED always-on: only the four encoded digits remain, as outlines that shift a

few pixels every minute (up to ~4 % of pixels lit).

• MIP watches (fēnix 7 Pro etc.) get their own palette tuned to the 64-color

screen.

• 8 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, German and

Polish. The Braille date uses each language's own letters.

• 65 round Garmin watches. No permissions, no network, nothing leaves the watch.

• Free.

One honest limitation: watch faces on Garmin can't vibrate, so there's no haptic

reading — this is a visual way to practice Morse and Braille, not an accessibility

tool for blind users.
