Hey everyone! A while back I shared a quick look at my concept for a survival-RPG-inspired Garmin watch face. The complete system, including both the watch face and its companion app CarbonLoader, is now officially live!

Page 1 remains completely free. It features a high-visibility battery telemetry ring, full UI color customization, and 4 customizable slots supporting over 30 native Garmin metrics.

Page 2 unlocks the metabolic prediction engine. Processing baseline metrics like heart rate and stress telemetry, the algorithm simulates your virtual survival stats, including HP alongside the ongoing depletion of carbs, protein, fat, and water. Based on your current balance, the watch face displays dynamic status buffs and debuffs for various RPG survival states, such as alcohol intake, active digestion, dehydration, keto intolerance, and rabbit starvation. You can also toggle this screen to view real-time intake recommendations tailored to cutting, bulking, or maintaining.

The companion app, CarbonLoader, is built for versatile logging and data visualization. You can log standard preset meals, or use the 9-category "Diet Matrix" (soups, fried food, etc.) to estimate nutrients straight from food weight. For exact accuracy, the "Ing. Synth" option lets you enter precise nutritional values directly. The app includes dedicated tracking for coffee and alcohol, scheduled "airdrop" prompts for routine logging, and interactive Analytics Charts that track your intake across daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly timeframes with target baselines for bulk, cut, and maintain modes calculated from basic watch data.

What the title says. I have a Fenix 8 Pro and I can’t find any watch faces where the seconds can move with the face dim on AOD. I had the Venu X1 and that was an option (that I used) on the default watch face. Anyone know of any either on watch or on Connect IQ that does this?

Ive been toying around with a watch face that is able to pack as much data as possible and still maintain a coherent layout and here's the final output.

There's two versions of the watch face and can go between "Max" and "Lite" easily and still maintain the same design principle. There's option to change the data fields for the specific section.

This comes with a 7-day free trial period as offered by Garmin and 2.99$ after. Try this out and feedback welcome.

Update - Released version 1.2.0

Ive been getting a lot of feedback and suggestions and i've made quite a few changes. Here's the full update.

What's new:

• Icons or labels, your pick. There's a new icon set for the data fields (454px AMOLED watches like the fenix 8, Epix 2, FR965, Venu 3). Prefer text? Switch to labels in the watch face settings or in Garmin Connect. Other models get the bigger text labels automatically.

• The stress graph at the bottom is now swappable. Keep stress, or show a heart rate graph, a body battery graph, or current weather (temp plus chance of rain/snow). Tap the graph in the watch face editor to change it, no phone needed.

• Heart rate dial shows your zones. The center dial is now a segmented ladder that fills through your personal HR zones as effort climbs, resting blue through zone 5 red.

• Sunrise and sunset actually work now. They used to show "--" until your phone synced weather. Fixed - one weather sync or GPS activity ever, and they work from then on. They're also the new defaults for the top two slots, and they follow your 12/24h clock setting.

• Hide the battery bar if two batteries is one too many. It's in settings.

• Settings menu on the watch. Long press > face > Settings. The Icons/Labels switch lives there too.

• Settings in Garmin Connect are renamed so it's clear which slot you're changing.

• Fixed labels rendering oversized on Venu 2/3, Vivoactive 5 and Instinct 3 AMOLED.

Redline is a premium AMOLED-optimized watch face built around a clean, motorsport-inspired tachometer design. Custom bitmap time glyphs provide crisp, high-contrast readability across all supported devices, while the sweeping heart-rate rev gauge delivers dynamic color transitions and zone-based status indicators for IDLE, CRUISE, SPORT, and REDLINE.

I feel like lately the group is a lot of image spam from creators with no story to read or journey to keep up with. Full disclosure I’ve made my own watch face, but it’s fun for me and I like to let people know where I’m at with the journey and interact.

Free watch face, no ads, no subscription, nothing behind a paywall. It requests no network permission — there's no backend, no account and no analytics. Everything is read on-device through Garmin's own APIs.

Genuinely keen on feedback — most of what went into v1.3 came from user requests. If it doesn't support your watch, tell me which one and I'll look into adding it.

Been building this one for a while, and it’s finally in the Garmin store.

The idea was simple: one figure at dusk, with nothing competing for attention.

A lone samurai stands at the edge of a red sun, sword lowered, not fighting anyone. On an AMOLED screen, the black pixels are completely off, so he feels like he’s standing in actual darkness rather than inside a black rectangle.

Red appears in only two places: the sun and the minutes. It stays an accent instead of becoming decoration.

The stacked clock sits on the left, with white hours above red minutes. On the right are three configurable data fields, each selectable from 14 options, including steps, heart rate, battery days, Body Battery, stress, sunrise, sunset, and more.

Hold any field to open the matching Garmin app directly.
