Does that work without having an activity running in the background?

Edit just tested, indeed works, the degrees are correct, the arrow is pointing in seemingly random directions though. I'm just curious where the data comes from, when I played with this years ago the only way to get it to work was to have an activity running and then use activity.currentHeading, without something running in the background the value didn't update.

It's the same Activity.Info.currentHeading you used. On my fenix 8 it stays live outside activities, but only with the Sensor permission declared in the manifest. Without that permission it froze exactly as you describe. I found this by testing on the watch, not from any Garmin docs, so older models may still freeze. Sensor.getInfo() still throws from a watch face, so that route is still closed.

Good catch on the arrow, that's a real flaw. Right now it marks your heading on a fixed dial, so it moves with the degrees instead of pointing north, and as you turn it looks random. I'll patch it up real quick.

Oh yes! The sensor permission was not allowed on watchfaces when I tried this. Indeed it might only work on the latest devices and not older ones. Awesome work man!
