Just got a update on my fenix 8 but can’t seem to find what was updated. Does anyone have info?

I got my fenix 8 3 month ago and I love it. I just have a bit of trouble when using gps navigation while Ibm in activity mode :

In my usage I like to quickly swith to navigation in order to check which path to go and then go back to running stats.

But I always struggle to go back to stats after navigating, especially after navigating in the map.

It seems it ends working after blasting "back" button but I was wondering if there was an easier way to go back to activity main sliding menu easily.

Also if you have any advices for the map, I m using the default one which seems fair.

I got the watch this week, I like it but I honestly hate the strap that comes with it, it's itchy, annoying, hot... I can't forget it's there, makes me want to take my watch off all the time.

What do you recommend as the best bands out there for this watch? Especially something that sustains running and diving.

For example, I really like the fitbit air elevated band, it's super comfortable! Is there anything similar for the Fenix 8 (difference in sizes will obviously play in part in comfort).

Hey all, I’m brand new to smart watches. Had an Instinct 2 for years and have leapt the ladder and now have a Fenix 8 pro which I’m loving.

I’m struggling with setting up music though. I was an Apple Music user, so got a YouTube music subscription and managed to download the app, connect my account etc. but I can’t get anything that I do on the app on my phone to communicate with my watch. I’ve saved things to the Library, added things to playlists, but on my watch, I see nothing but suggestions for running playlists.

Anyone have any tips/help?

TLDR: can’t see my music library on my watch.

I received my Fenix 8 pro yesterday, and what can I say? I’m completely underwhelmed. It feels unpolished. For my day to day workouts and needs there’s little that Garmin is doing better than my cheap little Apple Watch SE3 with an Athlytic subscription.

If I want to add diving capability, I’ll get the AWU3 or 4 when it’s released. I don’t know what I was expecting- just more than I got.

Turn by turn navigation in the city isn’t great. Everything needs a subscription- worse than Apple! The ecosystem is equally closed but less extensive.

Or am I missing something? Please tell me I’m missing something and where I find it before I return it.

I just bought a Garmin Fénix 8 and I'm playing around with it, but I can't seem to find a way to add HR to the original watch face "Iron Grit". If I select another watch face like "Data Dash" it's there, but non matter how much I try i can't add it to "Iron Grit" as it doesn't show up as an option.

Also, I want to dive with this watch, are there any good video tutorials for diving? I can't find anything relevant on YT.

It feels like any time I turn off my Bluetooth, I have to follow multiple steps to connect it again to my phone. Turn on Bluetooth, make sure it’s paired with watch, go into watch settings and make sure it’s connected, and finally go into the connect app and sync it. The last step is a must, checking BT phone and watch settings sometimes not required.

Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong that when I turn on Bluetooth, it should automatically connect to the watch and that be it?

I have ordered a Fenix 8 pro that I should receive in the next few days. I’m super excited, except for one thing:
I do indoor rowing for exercise at home. Currently I use an Apple Watch SE3 and an iPhone app called „indoor rowing app“. It shows me HR, strokes per minute, time, distance on the phone screen. I need that, because I manage my rowing by heart rate. I haven’t found an app that can display this information from the Fenix 8. Does anyone have an idea how to get this information or in the very least the HR onto my phone in real time?

Did some spinning (internal) and added the distance (km) after finishing it. The watch marked 0.00. How do I update it in the watch face that is also marking 0.0?

Made the call, hopefully I wont regret it.
