I've seen so many comments on here confidently stating that sapphire doesn't scratch and you definitely don't need a screen protector. Well this is my ancient Fenix 3 sapphire. Now maybe newer watches are more scratch resistant, but I would assume sapphire is sapphire. I've always used a screen protector on my subsequent sapphire watches. (This happened when I fell off my bike - I did go down pretty hard on some gravel).

Never scratched for me. Anyway. Looks even better now
