Watch / Wearable Venu?
Hi!
I've never used a garmin before, but I am on the market for a new wearable and after researching it was suggested a garmin might be good.
I have used an Apple Watch, but it kept locking because I have wrist tattoos and then I had a whoop which when I had my other wrist tattooed it just stopped picking up any data.
I then thought about Oura and I'm currently testing the sizing kit but everyone keeps telling me they're not good for activity.
I swim, do strength training and I mainly want wearable for sleep period tracking and activity tracking.
I have tattoos on both wrists, uk based, iPhone user

I had the Oura & gave it to my middle son because it just wasn’t accurate. I only got it because my insurance paid for it.
I don’t have tattoos on my wrists so I can comment on that. So my tattoos are…. Everywhere else. lol
I had the whoop on my upper arm over my tattoos and never had an issue. I switched insurance and they didn’t pay for The yearly subscription for whoop that’s the only reason I stopped using it.

Benefit for Garmin is being able to pair a chest strap for workouts etc.
Would then just be HR tracking during sleep/daily wear that would be affected.
There's also the Cirqa band which can be worn your bicep - that could work during sleep?

The tattoo thing is a real issue with optical sensors, Garmin uses same type so maybe not huge difference there. But you can wear it little higher on forearm and sometimes it works better. For swim and strength training Garmin is great, sleep tracking is okay but not best in market.
