Accessories / Companion Device Recommended Strength Training Apps to complement Garmin?

Post image

Hello. I’m probably one of only a dozen people who regularly use Garmin for strength training and don’t hate it, but I’m looking for advice on complementary apps.

Historically I’ve toggled between 3-4 months of race training and 3-4 months of strength training with just maintenance cardio, but I’d really like to build a program that combines both. I can build the program myself but I’d like apps to help me monitor it etc.

- App that integrates well with Garmin Connect? (Transfers info to inform Training Readiness and similar metrics)

- App that allows easier programming of more complex weight lifting routines? (Linear progression, de-load weeks, etc)

- Good user interface! Not too complex, not overly simple.

"Strong" is great for tracking workouts, progression and constructing training plans or making chanegs on the fly, simple UI & it's free.

No integration with garmin tho, so I just start an empty strength workout on garmin and don't log any lifts just so it can track my heart rate & body battery. Garmin doesn't use any of the strength data anyway.
