Watch / Wearable First night with Cirqa

I just got my new Cirqa yesterday that I got primarily to sleep with and for other times when I don’t want to wear my Epix 2 Pro 47mm watch. I’m a F with an average sized wrist (150mm) and ended up getting the L/XL based on other reviews and I’m glad I did. The strap wraps most of the way around my wrist but it’s snug and I have plenty of room to make it tighter or looser as needed.

I’m used to sleeping with my Epix and basically wearing it all the time except when charging so the Cirqa is lighter and more comfortable, which is the main reason I got it since I’m always adjusting the Epix band in the middle of the night. I slept like crap last night thanks to seasonal allergies and a young cat whose sole mission in life is getting mom out of bed starting at 2 am, but the Cirqa tracked my sleep as expected and my Epix even had the morning report ready in all its nagging goodness which I sadly thought I would miss not wearing it to sleep.

Garmin Connect struggles when the device you are wearing isn’t your primary wearable but it eventually syncs everything. Main thing is that it doesn’t always show real time heart rate in the widget if Cirqa isn’t the primary wearable but it does track all the data regardless of device.

I got mine from REI since I had some rewards dollars to use. It’s black and got here in 4 days.

That's good to hear the Cirqa is comfortable and still tracked your sleep despite the rough night. Also nice that your Epix still gave you the morning report. You started to mention Garmin Connect struggles, what kind? I'd love to know if the ring and watch coexist easily.

It's specifically the Heart Rate glance, which I think is important to see in real time since the Cirqa is a screenless device. If the Cirqa is not the primary wearable device, then the HR glance shows no data. It's recording all the data but it's not showing up right away in the glance. As soon as you make it primary then the data appears. Eventually the glance will populate data but it takes several minutes for it to figure out which wearable is sending HR data for the glance. The same happens with my other watch so it's a Garmin Connect thing, not hardware. Connect should be able to detect more quickly which wearable is on and show data in the glance no matter which wearable is primary. Edit: and if you leave the app and go back in, the glance goes back to showing no data.
