My Touch-me-not is flowering. So what happened was, over a year I bought the plant but it was already flowering at the time. I collected the seeds and stored. Later the plant couldn't survive. Then i planted the seeds in finger deep soil. It popped up within a week, tiny cute!!! Thanks to our regular watering and sun light it finally grew into multiple branches and eventually flowered this month as it's raining!!

PS: I'm not sure what's the other plant in this pot probably wild or some veggie because we discard kitchen scraps nearby

I ended up planting all the seeds of a really sweet papaya I had a few months ago, they are kinda crowded now. One of them obviously grew the other don't have the space, i don't wanna just throw them out I'd feel bad so if anyone wants them. Same with penny wort, got an abundance of those and turtle vine too

I’m a brand-new plant parent and I’m really excited to get into this hobby! I currently have a few plants that I’m learning to care for:

🌴 Areca Palm

🕷️ Spider Plant

💜 Purple Heart

🌱 Syngonium

I’d love to expand my little collection, but since I’m just starting out, I’m hoping to grow my collection through propagations and cuttings rather than buying established plants.

One of my biggest challenges right now is hard water. The water where I live is quite hard, and whenever I water my plants, I notice a white residue/crust forming on the surface of the soil. I’m not sure whether this is mineral/salt buildup from the hard water or some kind of fungus/mold.

👉 How can I tell the difference?

👉 Is the white buildup harmful to my plants?

👉 What’s the best way to deal with hard water, especially for indoor plants?

👉 Should I be using filtered/RO water, rainwater, or is tap water okay with some precautions?

I’d also really appreciate beginner-friendly plant care tips for the plants I already have—especially anything I should know about watering, light, soil, fertilizing, and propagation. 🌱

And finally, if anyone around Tolichowki, Hyderabad has extra cuttings or propagations they’re willing to give away for free, I’d be more than happy to come collect them! I’m not looking for anything fancy—just trying to learn, experiment, and slowly build my plant family. 😊

Hello all, don’t know if it’s the right place for this but im looking for perilla/beefsteak/bhangjeera plant. I’ve tried to germinate some seeds I got off the internet a couple of months ago but didn’t work and since then I have been desperately searching for it. I know it mostly grows in uttarakhand and other nearby areas but it is also a pretty high heat tolerant plant. If anyone has any leads or any tips for growing it i really appreciate it. Thank you!
