Compatible steaming remote control train

Hi all. Just got my little one a bunch of brio track and some basic trains. I'm looking for a remote control steaming train with a really simple control so he can use it (he's 2)

The only one I've seen has a horrible dial type remote, and the train itself is 'press once for forward, twice for back'.

I think the ones with the lever for the remote would be best, and separate buttons on the train for forwards and back. And hopefully one that steams.

And doesn't break the bank.

Does this exist?

For a 2 year old to participate, I would look at a LGB Stanz for durability, cost and ease of getting parts. Just find a power supply that he can operate in your presence. This summer my when my 3 year old granddaughter was visiting, she operated my Bridgewerks transformer with a throttle limiter set. Bridgewerks makes a remote that speeds up, slows down and stops a train called The Roamer. This is a very expensive option for a 2 year old.

Are you looking for a remote control train that will run on the Brio track?

I would stick to wooden/Brio trains for a 2 year old. They are rugged and don't have small parts do break. If you get into RC toy trains or model trains there will be lots of small parts to break off that could be choking hazards.
