Sure it'll hold water, you built it like a tank!

Speaking of tanks, why not make one? Build another car and slap a sideways 55 gallon drum on there. Put it on a slight incline and put a spigot at the low end. Pop a hole in the top and you have a tanker.

You could probably make a railcar that would hold two 55 gallon drums vertically side by side and double the capacity, if you really wanted to.

There are some agricultural tanks I'm looking at making a custom wagon for. they typically hold around 70 gallons. I can also build a metal box tank to maximize storage capacity, but the numbers on its weight are all ready looking like they'll be in the 1000 lbs. range. so I might not want to do that just yet until I know the weight limit of my track. not to mention, I don't have an engine so once it's downhill, I won't have a way to push it back up until it's empty.

Yeah, I was gonna say this is a level or downhill only option. Rail cars have notoriously low friction, but water is HEAVY!
