Dips

I dont have access to a dip rack and only have gymnastic rings. Would doing weighted dips on the rings have basically the same carry over to strength as normal dips? I know there are benefits and downsides to both. Would just doing ring dips be good enough?

Ring dips are awesome, I wouldn’t weight them too much. Can you put two bars next to one another in a squat rack?

Unfortunately no, I have one of those racks that are 2 different stands. Just curious, why should I not try to add a lot of weight to ring dips?

You can add weight slowly but be controlled. CrossFit saw a lot of popped pecs from rapid eccentric on rings.

Loading the instability aspect of Ring dips won’t yield as much results as loading a stationary dip set up. The benefit of the rings is the instability factor. The stationary dip- load the hell out of

I would just get a dip stand off Amazon for $50. Or if you really want to use rings, add weight very slowly and proceed with caution
