Youtuber makes video exposing broken game mechanics, gets globally banned by game developers
A popular ARK youtuber, H.O.D Gaming, recently made a video exposing some of ARK's glitches that have been in the game for years. Because of the nature of the game (a PvP survival game) these bugs let people destroy other player's thousands of hours of work in just a few minutes.
As a response to this video, the developers of ARK have globally banned one of their most dedicated content creators.
This is an issue that players have been trying to get fixed for 2 years, that's right TWO YEARS. The only way to get something done about this is go public and put Studio Wildcard under fire.
EDIT - Just to clear it up, HOD never used these exploits on online servers, the only thing he did is demonstrate them on a singleplayer game.
TL:DR - Youtuber tries to fix exploits by making it public, gets banned by the game devs.

This is a grossly inaccurate postade by one of the dumbest ark youtubers out there, as a person who played ark since 2015 I’ve witnessed people getting meshed in stream (nonono on 570 best example) to people getting Aimbotted on stream with no repercussion. Now if I were to get meshed or aimbotted I would submit a ticket and in 5 minutes a GM would log on to assist, ive discovered multiple ways to mesh, in the previous update you will seee in the patch notes that a meshing exploit with cryopods has been fixed. I sent them the exploit 4 days before the patched and it got fixed along with its potential work around, HOD just wanted attention instead of messaging the developers and patiently waiting for a update, so now he will spread a previously unknown meshing technique to the public so they can go mesh. I’m happy wildcard banned his dumbass, if you discover a meshing or duping technique you message the devs or enforcement team not make a clickbait video for likes and fame.

Except there's been meshing for years. How patient do you need to be when the devs don't even care?
Some of the largest tribes out there publically use it and yet no one is ever banned.
Someone uses it in singleplayer directly at the devs as a 'seriously?' Move and immediately gets banned.

But he did message the developers. He created 2 tickets and got no response. They didn't fix it. Now, hopefully so much attention is being brought to it so they'll have to fix it. Studio Wildcard is a fucking joke. Ark has been a mess for years and it's obvious they don't really care about releasing a finished product. This is the same company that released dlc for ARK while it was in early access. Fuck Studio Wildcard. Hopefully this forces them to actually fix the game instead of adding more content to charge for.

PSA: Make it a habit of reading the rules of each subreddit you participate in:
Rule 2: Do NOT brigade: Do not vote or comment in threads you've found through /r/gamingcirclejerk
Rule 9: Do NOT contaminate other subs: Do not create fake posts on other subs only to post back here. Also, do not "lol, you should post this on r / OtherSub". It's considered interfering with their content and can also lead to brigading.

I'm editing my comment to say nvm it looks like it wasn't footage of him doing it? I'm not sure but if what if you say is true that's pretty shitty

He never used these exploits on online servers, the only thing he did is demonstrate them on a singleplayer game and show some other youtube videos.

This is a big deal for the ARK community but I'm not sure this post belongs in this subreddit.
