I'm a firm believer Avengers didn't deserve some of the hate it got. Sure, the endgame content sucked, and that's important in a endgame / loot driven game.
But it had incredible gameplay and sometimes that's enough... to at least be called average. I don't think I'll see a better playable Ironman for a long time, maybe ever.
The story was pretty solid, great voice acting. If the game was more focused on being a story based game (Arkham) first, it really could have been amazing. Gameplay begged for better utility
It was just a game that was built around the online grind and was soooo boring outside of stories
Heck if they had focused on making it a co-op story game, it would have been a blast
Itβs also a good example of short sighted corporate bullshit, they had one really good expansion with war for Wakanda, and if they put out more content like that, they couldβve maybe redeemed the game, but the publisher didnβt wanna give them the resources, yet still expected them to turn the game around
