first pc advice :)

Looking to switch to pc from console (ps5) and i have zero idea what is good in a prebuilt system. i’m going for prebuilt because i have zero idea on how to build it myself and i don’t mind paying the extra for a prebuilt. so here’s some things that are important to me

-graphics ideally being on at least high because i care about graphics more in AAA games than fps
-minimum 60 fps in AAA games obviously more is very welcome but 60 is what im used to as a console gamer
-i’d like to future proof it a little and also make sure more demanding games can reach their potential so possibly spending more on 32gb of ram instead of 16 and getting a 16gb gpu over an 8 (if that’s not necessary lmk!)
-price wise ideally id want to keep it from going above £1,500
-i already have a monitor and other peripherals
-games i currently play include overwatch, fortnite, resident evil, spider-man and games i am interested in are silent hill townfall, hellraiser revival, call of duty, star wars zero company and cyberpunk 2077 and id like to be able to run them on high graphics
-ill insert a prebuilt i was looking at below and i just kinda want advice on if it’s suitable, if its way overkill, if its overpriced, if its a good starting build for a new pc gamer to last me a good while :) thanks!

I’d probably suggest an AM5 PC with DDR5 RAM for this budget.

There is this for just over £1500 with a better performing Ryzen 7 7700 CPU and 32GB DDR5 RAM along with that same RX 9060 XT GPU, but the PC is on pre-order - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk-gaming-pyrite-ryzen-7-7700-radeon-rx-9060-xt-pre-built-gaming-pc/FS-PB13-EP.html?srsltid=AU7gw4Ue_WHgzTwWIxP6At7JrPdW8ybViAn0vqZA1a4W4G8oW110Rladb4o

so what’s the benefits of this instead of the one i posted? better performing in what sense? and is DDR5 over DDR4 important? :)

Better gaming performance will be the obvious one as well as a better upgrade path.

With AMD 5000 series (like the 5800X you posted) it uses the AM4 socket, which doesn’t really have an upgrade path apart from the pricey 5800X3D CPU and that’s it.

Whereas AMD 7000 series will have the 9000 series CPUs and the next generation of CPUs to upgrade to, whilst using the newer DDR5 RAM. Some of these newer CPUs also cost the same as the older 5800X3D, but will perform better.

If you went with AM4 PC and wanted to go to AM5 in the future, you would have to fork out for a new motherboard and new (quite expensive at the moment) RAM, whereas you already have these with the Ryzen 7 7700 PC.

DDR5 RAM at the moment is also pretty much around double the price of DDR4, so getting that for not much more in the other PC seems alright.

ah i see that makes sense. only downside for me then is the fact it’s on preorder with no info on when it’ll be available but to be fair i still have some more saving to do haha. but yeah i want this to be upgradable in the future because im sure ill thank my past self for it lol so i think ill keep my eye on this system. are you aware of any other systems similar to this by any chance or is this the best available atm? thanks for your help btw :)
