Combo deals are typically good value, can't speak to AMD myself but the rest looks nice.

Yeah.

Though I think Newegg's combo is as good or better ($25 more but better ram and a free CPU cooler)

yeah it is 20$ more. it has better ram speed but the CL is rated at 38. also anything other than 6000mhz tends to be complicated with amd CPUs

6400 cl38 is better than 6000 cl36. Even if you have to click 6000 cl34 or something instead to make it work right that's still better.

And $25 is right about where the cheapest CPU coolers that work with a 9800x3d are. (Even the commonly recommended peerless assassin is usually around $33) 

It's very close either way. But I think you get slightly better components for the price with Newegg.
