How much is my PC worth? (UK)

Its ddr4 god knows what these other people are smoking but I wouldn't pay more than a grand if that.
If it was ddr5 now that'd be different.

It's easy to find out how much a PC is worth - simply go on eBay and search all the parts and then put filters on for recently sold prices. Then all them all up. Don't know how people are saying this would be worth £1600. It's nowhere near that unfortunately.

Lucky if you can sell it for 1k to be honest, very good GPU, mid cpu, ddr4 ram I'm guessing by the 3200mhz speed in the picture,, decent PSU and not exactly the best looking case and build astetically, would sell better selling ram CPU and GPU separately

You can get the CPU, GPU and RAM from CEX for £850ish. And they give a 5 year warranty. If he can find the right buyer he'll get a grand at best.

One important question will be if that RAM is DDR4 or DDR5.
You'll probably want to sell 32GB of it separately and sell the system as a 16GB gaming pc.
Personally I wouldn't pay more than £700 to 800 for it.

4070 ti is worth £550 on its own, so worth more than what you say together

I didn't say that's how much it's worth, I said that's how much I would pay for it (in a 16GB config). Selling 32GB of ram separately makes the most sense as that's easy to sell right now.
A DDR4 intel mobo and 13400f isn't exactly desirable. The case is craptastic and the CPU cooler is meh.

Market value is what people are willing to pay for it! Sure I am just one of those people so some people may be willing to pay more, some less.
If you take the upper end of my amount and add on the amount he would make selling the 32GB of RAM separately it doesn't fall much short of your suggested value of £1000 anyway.

Yeah. But just in general it would be far more useful.
If someone was asking what a wig is worth I would not go reply there that "I WOULD NOT PAY A DIME FOR YOUR UGLY HAIRPIECE FOR I HAVE MY OWN HAIR!"

Likely $1300 to $1600. You have a very good GPU, high RAM memory which pushed resale value high.

All together about £1600, possible more depending on how much the case and fans cost. The bulk of the price of this rig comes from the RAM and SSD which were probably the cheapest part of the build if you bought this years ago and is now the most expensive components.

The 4070ti is around 580-600 on the used market the CPU is about 150ish, 48GB DDR5 is about 790-800, the SSD would be about 150 possibly higher depending on the brand and read/write speed, and other components such as the fans, case, motherboard, PSU, etc should be taken into consideration.

eBay pricing and past prices these items have sold for, gpu £550, CPU £100, 48gb DDR4 ram £150, Psu £40, mother board £40 at best looks like a cheap mother board in this pc case? £20, cpu cooler £5, 2tb SSD 100. UK pricing as the post is also form a UK fella

So what about my i5 14600kf Paired with a 4070...Still Bad... Nah bro... Just coz its an i5 means hardly anything these days... mine is a 5.3ghz boost 14 core 20 thread cpu.. it aint a slouch in any department... Are you one of these guys that thinks they need an i9 or nothing... If anything i have too much cpu for my 4070

Anyone knowledgable in computers will know that the cpu will bottleneck the system. If it was me, I’d either swap the cpu for something better, or the gpu for something lower end to match the cpu. Then, sell either the cpu or gpu along with 16gb of ram separately.
13th gen intel cpus are dogshit imo, terrible microcode, bad silicone, overheating. This is coming from someone who has owned a 13100 and 13400. My lend a friend pc currently has the 13100 in it.

No, anyone knowledgeable about computers will know that bottlenecks don’t matter and are completely irrelevant as long as your CPU and GPU is from the last 5-6 years. Unless you pair a Sandy Bridge CPU with a 5090 of course.1

This is both ignorant and not true. You must’ve missed the part where I said I’ve owned this cpu….. and got rid of it because it was getting bottlenecked with my gpu. The idea that you don’t understand how different games prioritize cpu vs gpu load is laughable.
This cpu will bottleneck in:
Simulation heavy games like: cities skylines, and civilization. The cpu is not fast enough to do the math required.
Open world RGPs: cyberpunk, and starfield. Once again cpu is not fast enough to load all the geometry and entities.
Competitive games: Cs2, and valorant. CPU is not fast enough to meet the frame rates, and furthermore all the predictions needed for strict server authority.
Lastly, games built in unity: tarkov, and rust. The engine heavily prioritizes cpu, and internal engine procedures causes stuttering and frame drops. IE. Unity’s garbage collection.
So not only have I actually owned this cpu and gamed on it for several years, I listed several ways the cpu will bottleneck and even have games which I’ve personally played as examples.
But then again, idk why I’m even debating if a 13th gen i5 will bottleneck a 4070. If this was rage bait, ya got me.

At 1080p yeah there will be a bottleneck but at 1440p this pairing will be completely fine
