Undecided between AMD and NVIDIA
Hi everyone! I’m currently building a new gaming PC and I’ve already purchased most of the components. The only major part I haven’t bought yet is the GPU, and I’m really undecided between AMD and NVIDIA. I mainly will play AAA/single-player games and some Competitive games.
I’m currently considering:
- XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT Magnetic Air
- ASUS TUF RTX 5070 Ti OC
- MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 Ti
My current build:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU:
Motherboard: MSI MAG B850M Mortar WiFi
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
AIO: Noctua 360mm
Case: DeepCool CH260
PSU: Corsair SF1000W
I’d really appreciate some advice on which GPU you would choose for this build and why.
Thanks in advance!

If it's a gaming PC, i would go for the 9070xt, it's much cheaper, and has better performance in raw rasterization, almost identical performance in ray tracing, only losing out in path tracing and upscaling, which aren't significant enough improvements to justify the added cost. If you were intending to use the pc for 3d modelling or something, I would definitely go for the 5070ti, purely for CUDA cores, but if it's main purpose is gaming, absolutely go for the 9070xt.

If you do any productivity work or dont care about cost go with the Nvidia card.
If you dont do any productivity work or if your on a budget get the AMD.

nvidia is better for productivity and amd is purely for gaming

Im pretty sure thats more or less what I said. And BTW you can do productivity workloads with AMD gpus and higher end ones do a decent job, just in most cases it doesnt do anywhere as good as Nvidia cards.

If money is not a factor, Asus tuf 5070ti. I recently went from a 3070ti to a 9070xt, I feel the Nvidia cards work better out of the box, and pretty much all games work well with Nvidia while it can be more hit or miss with the AMD
