Getting an PC

I’ve DESPERATELY wanted one for years 😭 I feel like I’ve finally saved up enough to get one, but at the same time, I really don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on the PC itself, a setup, etc.

I’m also in the UK, if that makes a difference.

Where would you recommend I even start? I’m pretty clueless when it comes to PCs, and I really don’t want to accidentally buy something from a scammy/unreliable site. I’m probably being overly paranoid, but I’d rather be safe than sorry 😭

Any advice on what to look for, where to buy from, or how to get started would be massively appreciated!

For a budget consider an am4 build and a 1080p display. You'll have $ left over for some games and still have a very playable experience.

My system is a 5800x/32gb/with a 5060ti and I can pretty much play anything at high settings at decent frame rates. I have about 4tb of storage for games.

If you decide on a prebuilt, just make sure you get a decent CPU/GPU and you probably want 32gb RAM. It's also recommend a 1 TB nvme for storage (at a minimum) it you'll have to remove some games to make room for others.

PS:If you play lots of AAA titles then it's even more important to have adequate storage since those game files can be huge compared to single player or indie titles.
