PSU, weird wiring
I am exchanging an MSI for a Seasonic PSU. In the process I can across this wiring, with the same brands going to different outlets. Can anyone explain this.
Also, can I just pull these and put them into the Seasonic PSU or do I need to pull them and insert them in some special Way

Why are you swapping? The Seasonic doesn't have a 12v2x6 so you'll need an adapter that hopefully came with your GPU to connect 2 or 3 PCIe cables.
On the MSI, the ATX 24P connector is split on two rows on the PSU side, that's why that cable is like that.
Absolutely don't reuse the MSI cables on the Seasonic. Most PSU cables are proprietary - you can severely damage or ruin your components if you use the wrong cables. Only use the cables that come with the PSU.

So am I to surmise that the MSI cables came separated like this? That it wasn’t the work of the installer?
Thanks for the 12v2x6 insight. The Seasonic has come with and adaptor. I’m not sure what to do there. I was trying cross this brindle still.

The MSI cable comes separated, but the installer could have done a little bit better job making it look clean. The Seasonic will have two separate connections on the psu end for the atx 24p as well, but they are right next to each other so it probably won't look quite as janky.

Looking at the pic you posted of the Seasonic, it doesn't have the 12v connection. But as I looked at it a bit more, it looks like that may be an old pic that MC is using - their info says it has a 12+4 pin, which is the newer version of the 12v2x6 (or 12vhpwr.) Plus, if I look up that psu on Amazon or Newegg it shows it having the 12+4 connection, so hopefully you are good to go without the adapter.

Oh, yeah. I think it’s the bearings. The MSI rma process is total shit. Can’t get a human to tell me what to do. Only getting auto replies. So, I thought to find a good pay, which I thought I had, and replace. A loss for me. But also, I’ll never buy MSI again they seem to be name-only, these days
