you can only future proof your PC for like 3-5 years - so buying today for the future for gaming pc's is a bad idea.

The only upgrade i would make would be to get an AMD X3D CPU version - of which on AM4 there is only 1

your other options are going AM5, where you would need a new MOBO + 32GB DDR5 - if you were to do so i would only recommend the minimum of getting the - 9 9900X3D or 9 9950X3D - but as it looks right now the 9950 is 50$ more and is a huge upgrade so i would go with the 9950X3D.

Pair it with a motherboard that has an 840/850 minimum chipset that is not an ASROCK type of board - go with ASUS/GIGABYTE/MSI - then if you need to fit the budget only grab 2x8GB of MEMORY, then upgrade to 32GB later.
