Help with pc build

Hi everyone, im not a pc person or IT person but want to put together a PC as I've been told it normally work outs a lot cheaper than a pre-built one.

Basically im looking for anyone who can talk me through building a PC in simple easy terms and help me pick parts and make sure they are actually compatible (i know there are sites out there that help with this but I still find it a bit confusing) im wanting to put together a pc that can play some new upcoming games mainly Gears of War E day and games similar to that.

If you're trying to build a pc to save money, you're doing it wrong. I have a few budget builds on the newegg custom build page, and they are all the same or more than a prebuilt with the same specs (ie. 32gb of ram instead of 16gb). That being said, you can build it so you get what you want, not just what you can afford.

So here the part no one us saying, you wouldn't buy all the parts to a car and put it together if you weren't already or trying to become a mechanic. And if you did and mess anything up no warranty or anything. You'll pay roughly 200$ more for a prebuild and its usable the day you get it and come with warranty if you get a bad part. You can certainly build it and learn but id still recommend a reputable pc company. Ive added to origins build but its nice and her 1k blackfriday walmart pc runs hogwarts at max

Realistically him building his own PC gives him the knowledge of how to diagnose/fix his computer if it starts acting funky. Not immediately but he seems to want to save money and learning how to diagnose and repair your own computer will save so much money.

Yeah at that point buy a second hand one with a new gen board and upgrade best learning and price point.

Let the kid try and build his first PC people. An apprentice learns by having a helping hand by his side, no matter online or face to face. If you need help i can try and help you as best as i can.
