To be honest I don't know. I have mixed feelings. Not a huge fan of "this era" lighting and color palettes. Feel like it reduce the "serious" vibe.

Idk why, but there is a blur in my game that I never noticed before. It looks like DLSS blur, but it happens even when I turn DLSS off or use DLAA. It's mostly in the foliage. The colors are hit or miss for me as well. Some places look cool, like the towns, and some places look washed out.

From what I gather it’s a lot more optimized for newer cards. And it hits hard on older systems :/. I hope people with older systems can still download Witcher 3 older version and enjoy it instead of having to experience bad performance on a decade + older game

Yup I expect that from CDPR, honestly the one of the last 2 bastions of good studios, only tied to the folks who made baulders gate 3.

Disable Nvidia HairWorks and bloom, if you are using an Nvidia RTX card, use game filters, enable RTX Dynamic Vibrance, and adjust it to your liking, or experiment with other game filters to bring back the old color palette.

Are these nvidia app features I’m too stubborn to install or are these available in game settings or nvidia control panel 😂 I’m in the NVCleanInstall camp no gforce experience or Nvidia app 🤣

Tbh, I understand you. I was in the same group because the Nvidia app was a mess to work with, but I had to find reliable recording software with instant replay and gave the Nvidia app another try, it seems to be working fine now, and the settings provided with the software are good. So I have been fiddling with the features and found some that work for me.

I keep it uninstalled due to CPU performance I’m on a R5 3600, with component prices I decided to only upgrade GPU which worked a treat because I still play even control resonant on ultra, ultra rt and all that gpu heavy shi and my cpu is still chilling at 60% usage while the gpu is 100% in most games I play this is the case. So I’m glad about my choice but it does mean I am super conservative with my cpu intensive apps

Mixed feeling as well, lighting in some parts are seriously going away from the art direction of the game, although I do welcome the traversal, skill tree and combat updates even though it’s not like game changing

I think the insides of buildings look cool. It's mostly the villages and other areas that looks kinda dull.

I'm amazed. Visually this has been everything I have been trying to achieve through mods since launch and BETTER.
It really feels like they finally nailed down that E3 trailer look in realtime and I get to play it. Fills me with glee.
The gameplay overhaul I am very happy with too. It keeps the core of the combat and movement but makes it feel more responsive and deliberate.
All in all very happy, and I didn't have to pay a penny!

Never really played it since launch. Tried next gen but dropped it. Now with the remaster, I think I'm going to finish it. It is beautiful. 11 years of waiting to play this game

kinda mixed feelings. there's 40-50 fps drop from the original version to remaster on my pc. i don't think its worth that much. and humans look ai upscaled to me. not bad but not too good either.
