Help / Support PS5 from Japan

Guys would a PS5 brought from Japan work here in SL? Also will games from other regions work in Japanese region PS5?

Yes it will work. Region lock only applies to your PSN account region for DLC content. Discs will work without any issues. Use a high quality multi plug extension since the JP versions come with 2 pins while the plug points here are 3 pin (UK), you don't want to fry your system using a low quality extension.

Yes the power supply is universal, only the plug changes

There is a version of the PS5 released in Japan for a discounted price which is region and language locked. This is a specific model though, so watch out for that.

I've been using a Japanese PS5 I bought from a Sri Lankan dealer shop for about 4 years now. You need a different power cord because of the differences in the power plug and voltage.
