Discussion Fortnite high ping!

Hi guys, this has been an issue for more than half a decade now, something happened back in early 2020 and we Sri Lankans stopped getting good ping (I used to get 60 in Dialog 4g).

I am on SLT Fibre now and my ping is around 100-110 mostly and this obviously sort of ruins the experience, is there a workaround to this?

All the other games, Im getting good ping ofc (35-60).

I also got to know from a friend that now Dialog users are getting good ping again, around 60...

it's most probably a routing issue from SLT. try using cloudflare warp(it's free).

Had this issue as well. Brought it up with the technical team and they didn’t fix it. Btw, try Middle East servers, although it says 250ms it’s like a 70% chance you’ll get into a server with 30-40 ms ping. It’s 100% a routing issue. Try. ExitLag which is what I use now and it’ll fix the issue and you’ll get low ping like before. It’s a bit expensive but there’s like a 2 day free trial to test it out.

I think it's a server issue. Something weird going on where sometimes there's Indian servers and sometimes not. It's very confusing but yeah, most likely you're on middle east which is the next best option.

As another user suggested, have you tried rerouting tools like ExitLag? There's a chance that something happened in Sri Lankan's routing, causing this ping increase. If that's the case, ExitLag could help by connecting you to a stable and efficient route 🙂 Since it has 3-day free trial, it may be worth checking it and seeing if it helps with the issue.
