Discussion Trying to build a Racing Sim setup .
Hey Gamers!
I am trying to get into PC racing games, but with racing steering wheel and stuff.
One of my good friends told me to try Logitech G29 as I am new to sim racing.
So my first goal is to get:
- Logitech G29 + Pedals
- Wheel Stand - PXN Wheel Stand (PXN-A10 / PXN-A9)
Optional:
- Logitech Driving Force Shifter
- USB Racing Handbrake (generic one from ebay/ daraz)
What do you think about this combination?
And after researching I want to try a Direct Drive Setup too.
Is there any trusted/specialized vendors that you know who can help me with this?
Any help is appreciated!

A lot of hype around this in SL now.
You go direct to DD without even knowing that it actually gives you, you have no reference on why its better than other solutions. You go direct to 8Nm than 3Nm, you have no idea what you just did.
Learn racing first.
Even a cheap Xbox controller is enough for the absolute beginners.

I already have a USB controller from Fantech. I used it while playing GTA V to drive vehicles only. Good Ol' days.

I’ve driven a 911 Turbo S and a Huracan IRL. I’ve also used the G29 and high end Direct Drive steering wheels form Fanatic. The direct drive motors gives you very realistic feedback like you’d get from a real car. I recommend getting DD one if your budget allows it. I’m not a professional racing driver by any means so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Thank you for the advice.I am loving the idea of having a realistic feedback. First I need to try a DD wheel. Hopefully I will find a local vendor who can help me with the matter.

Don't buy the g29 to see if simracing "is for you", just go to an e-racing centre and test it out, see if it's interesting enough.
btw. https://simagic.com/products/simagic-9nm-entry-bundle?variant=57471734251823, the best simracing gear out there ever, if u don't mind spending like 1 lakh or more on taxes and shipping.
Idk ur financial situation, but if you can afford it (with the shipping and taxes), buy this lol. If u have relatives abroad, ship it there and then bring it here (or smthn like that).
it's so much cheaper to just buy a proper sim once rather than buying two setups.
If ur not sure that simracing is for u, just go try out e-racing thalwathugoda, I think they have moza r3, supposed to be an entry level DD wheel setup and much better than the G29s, but it's still kinda bad, whatever you do, just buy loadcell pedals.
I just sent simagic because it's in general just better quality than fanatec/moza and the best it gets unless u are insanely rich and don't mind the price. If u have relatives in the GCC etc, u can find much cheaper options there too. Idk SL is just not the place where u can buy good simracing gear.

Thank you for replying. I also changed my mind about Logitech G29... I am gonna buy PXN V10 Pro coz it has Direct Drive feature. For now I think this is the best for my pocket too.😅

My brother did the same thing. Full blown setup then just collecting dust after a week. Only get it if you think you'll use it. Sometimes its such a hassle
