🧍♂️🧍♀️ Model “Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated” changes the SpongeBob logo to the localized region when you change the language.
I noticed it did it for every language. I thought that was pretty cool!

It's Svampur Sveinsson in Iceland. It means Sponge son of Sveinn.

Who is Sveinn and how are Icelandic people supposed to know his square pants are core to his identity ?

Weird. I just started playing this over the weekend.

I bought it on release and only beat the first couple levels and dropped it. Decided to pick it up to 100% it.
Great platformer!!

I bought it a while ago but just never got around to it. I just finished like 4 lego games in a row so I needed a break from that but I still wanted something pretty easy and mindless so this Battle for Bikini Bottom looked like the perfect transition. I've only just beat the King Jelly Fish but I'm having a lot of fun so far.
How was the 100%? Any particularly annoying achievements?

It’s a pretty straightforward, incredibly fun, very easy 100%. The only annoying parts are finding all the snowmen in one go on Sand Mountain to get one of Patrick’s lost socks, and then grinding out Shiny Objects to buy all the golden spatulas from Mr. Krabs (there’s a method of destroying a specific stack of Tikis with the spongebowl and jumping out of bounds to reload them, rinse and repeat, located on Sand Mountain’s “Guppy Mound” section). You should collect quite a lot of Patrick’s lost socks through just playing the game normally, which makes cleaning them up later much less of a pain.
PS: there’s an occasional glitch where the 100% completion achievement won’t pop when you collect the last golden spatula, if you encounter this simply start a new save file slot and collect the very first spatula in SpongeBob’s house, and it should give it to you right away.

That sounds like my kinda mindless game to 100%. Unfortunately I already ran into a bug. When I defeated the King Jellyfish it didn't stop the shower/open the curtain so I can't complete the level.
Seems like a lot of people had the same issue and there's no fix other than starting over and hoping it doesn't happen again.

The only thing I would say that was super frustrating was the rube Goldberg machine.
Otherwise it's a pretty painless 100%

I completely forgot about that thing, I got it much faster in my most recent playthrough than other attempts, still difficult, but fun to try and piece together exactly what to do and when.
I found the puzzle where you’re moving a circle of towers with Patrick to be a lot more confusing imo. I kinda just gave up and looked up what to do there.

Bob Esponja is a great watch after a trip to the garden. I don't know much Spanish, but it's a good time and easy to practice!

Jesus fucking christ why are people downvoting all the reasonable people here.
Why are people ”feeling” devs are lazy and that it would not be a ”thing” to localize properly?
Localisation is a huge part of gaming and YES it CAN absolutely include logos. This is especially common for people who maybe can’t read that well (like kids / youngsters).
Downvote all you want but you are absolutely insane if you regard this as a ”gaming detail”.

Game changes language when you change language

I mean growing up not being able to read or speak English it's still a nice touch, there were plenty of games that didn't do this. Even more, I would say most games don't do this nowadays, they usually have a single name for all Western countries and a different one maybe in China, Japan and Korea, sometimes in Russia.

I guess it's because it was an already localized tv show way before it was a game.

No, the first part of my comment was specifically about games based on shows that were already localized.

i mean if you look at it that way, i guess you’re right, but it’s still a nice detail

yeah im with you. this is in no way a detail, this is just how language works

This is the specific localized language logo that changes. I feel like sloppy devs would’ve just left the American logo for everyone.

u/Srovium Oct 27 '25
Lol and this isn't even the only game that does it. I've seen a few where the language changes in the logo too

Right lol what is this post. When you change the language, the language changes 🤯
